Applications of pulses (Medicine)

There are several other applications and color and shapes of pulses rather than the typical "wave" which we all know, the different shapes that you can see up there are called modulation in which each pulse can have different shape what we see in the image are pulses of patients that are suffering either a cardiac arrest or tachycardia.

Applications of pulses

There are a lot of applications in which pulses are applied. Pulses can be applied in fiber optics for the internet, a enterprise that uses pulses a lot is Google getting 1000 pulses per second in their optic fiber.

There are also other application like in medicine where machines like the heart monitor measure your pulses that your heart sends with each beat. Thereby knowing your rates per minute.

Free end reflection pulses

Free end reflection pulses are caused when the medium will have no finish that is fixed and the pulse will move freely once left the medium, when the reflection pulse is free end it will go upward as its last movement in the medium this has been experimented several times throughout history with the same result, if you experiment with a rope the last movement the rope will do is to go upwards.

Fixed End reflection pulses

Fixed end pulse reflection is a type of reflection in which the medium is attached to one end and it will return in the inverse displacement to its origin. Basically it will return with an opposite direction of where it went, a pulse with a displacement going upwards will return downward and viceversa.

Pulse Reflection

When a pulse moves through matter it will often reach an end in where it will dissipate into a fix end or the medium will finish and will have nowhere to go or free end. This is called pulse reflection.

There are two types of pulse reflections called fixed end and free end.
